What is Juneteeth?

Juneteeth is a holiday celebrating the end of slavery in the nineteeth century. The ending of slavery was a huge turning point in American History so we recognize it as an important day. With Americans fighting racial injustice, it has started to gain more recognition amongst people.Activist Jamie Miller says We must fight everyday for equal rights in America for all races. June 19th will be a big day for D.C. For thousands of activists coming together to fight against racial oppression.

Protest Details

There will be several activities going on all day throughout D.C. There will be a vigil, different speakers, marches, protests, and much more. However, do keep in mind that we are in a pandemic. Proper precautions should and must be taken. Please remember to wear masks and gloves. There will be stations all over the city providing these things to you if needed. Also, first aid, snacks, and portable chargers will be available around the city. It is imperative we all take proper precautions and protest safely but things can and do happen. We hope to see you there and thank you for the constant support from everyone. Together will defeat injustice!
